Anusha in wonderland Part-5
Anusha in wonderland Part-5
There were lot many things to learn about triangles but when Anusha reached magic school, quadrangle and other polygon children came running to her and asked her what to do.
Anusha had to keep them busy. She asked their teachers ( who were selected by Anusha from each class) to bring measuring scales from school store and measure their sides. She also told them how to give names to each child by choosing first character of their type and number, like q1,q2 for quadrangles, p1,p2 for pentagons, h1,h2 for hexagons and so on.
She then went to triangles class and asked them to select colors as per their new groups. Normal triangles –Yellow, Similar triangles Red and Equilateral triangles Green.
When the triangles were busy in paiting themselves, there was a phonecall for Anusha from one class she had not visited yet. It was call from circles and ovals. They complained that they cannot measure their side by measuring scale.
Anusha rushed to that class. She saw that circles and ovals had only one side but due to curve, children could not measure side length by straight scale. Anusha was confused. She also did not know the answer. But as a principal she has to do some thing.
She asked all children of that class to stand up and measure their height by scale. The problem was solved. All children were happy. Anusha noticed that for circles their height was same even if they stand in any fashion. But for ovals they had two heights. When they are fat, their height was small but when they change their position their height increases and they become thin.
It was a new knowledge for Anusha. Now she had discovered a method to differentiate between circles and ovals. She asked them to choose red color dress for circles and blue color dress for ovals.
It was a great day for Anusha. All the children in the magic math class were now having names and different colors.
