Anusha in wonderland Part-3

Anusha in wonderland Part-3

In the morning, while going to school Anusha’s dad used to tell her many science stories. That day, it was the turn of Anusha. She told her dad about the magic school she visited in her dream and asked why point children are so small and alike. Dad was surprised and asked her how she knew about points. He said ‘Points are very important in geometry which is other type of math only. Ofcourse you will learn about them when you go to higher standard. Points do not have any length and width but they decide everything in geometry. ‘

Anusha was sorry for the point children but a thought came to her mind. Can they have different colors’. Dad laughed ‘ Why not? They can have any color, but for that we have to make them fat.’

At night, Anusha went to the magic school with her paint box and a small air pump she had for blowing baloons. She called all point children and told them to choose any color they would like as dress instead of black uniform. The children were happy and changed their dresses by using colors from Anusha’s paint box. Anusha made them fat by pumping air into their bodies like balloons. Now the class of point children was transformed into colored balls roaming here and there and dancing merrily.

In class of line girls also Anusha asked them to wear many colorful dresses. By using air pump she changed their fatness also. Anusha also taught them exercises of bending. Now there were thin lines, thick lines, straight lines, curved lines, red lines, blue lines and so on. The class of line girls became a beautiful collection of ever changing pattern of lines.

Anusha selected seven fat line girls with different color dresses. By training them to bend together, Anusha could create a show of beautiful rainbow.

When Anusha’s teacher saw all this, she became very pleased. She told Anusha that from now on, you will become principal of this whole magic math school. You have to train now classes of bigger boys and girls. There is class of traingales, class of rectangles and so on. You give the names and teach them how they should preserve their properties and help building still bigger structures.

Anusha was over joyed. She jumped high up in air.

But ‘Alas!' She fell down from bed and her dream hid back like a rat in the memory heap inside her head.
